What Is the PHX Foundation?

Week One is about burning the old script of “normal” and writing your own. You’ll look at how trauma rewires perception, how shame creeps into your self-talk, and how to start building a new internal code on purpose — not by accident.

Across six sessions, you’ll move through:

  • Owning your “normal” instead of chasing everyone else’s.
  • Seeing how trauma hits perception and why you react the way you do.
  • Challenging negative self-beliefs that were planted in pain, not truth.
  • Letting yourself be supported instead of bleeding out in silence.
  • Practical coping strategies for when your nervous system is on fire.
  • Setting clear intentions for the man you’re building going forward.

No hype. No “fix overnight” promises. Just tools, stories, and homework that meet you where you actually live.

Who You’ll Be Learning From

Dr. John A. King

Author • Survivor • Performance Coach • Founder, The Phoenix Collective

John has lived the stories he teaches. After childhood abuse and trafficking memories hit like a freight train in his mid-40s, he lost almost everything — and slowly rebuilt. His work in Deal With It and Derailed is the backbone of this Foundation: clear, field-tested tools for men who want to stop drifting and start leading again.

  • Author of Deal With It, Derailed, and 25+ other works
  • Decades of work with trauma survivors, executives, veterans, and first responders
  • Founder, Give Them a Voice Foundation

Mel King

Trauma-Informed Strategist • Co-Leader, PHX Collective

Mel co-builds the structure around John’s content so it’s clear, doable, and sustainable. She brings years of experience in trauma recovery, leadership, and community-building, making sure this isn’t just “good content” — it’s a container where real change can stick.

  • 10+ years in trauma recovery and coaching
  • Co-founder, Give Them a Voice Foundation
  • Co-founder, November Media (4M+ social reach)

Michelle Einsohn

Traditional Naturopath • Iridologist

Michelle helps people read the signals their body and nervous system are sending so they can pace their healing and avoid burnout. She brings a calm, practical lens to the process — making sure you’re not just pushing harder, but learning how to live in a way your body can sustain.

  • Traditional Naturopath • Internationally certified in Iridology
  • Background in functional brain health and global wellness perspectives

Matthew Einsohn

Traditional Naturopath • Performance Strategist

Matthew is a third-generation healer who thinks in systems: mindset, environment, and daily choices all stacked together. He helps translate the content into practical steps you can apply in real life — at home, at work, and under pressure.

  • Traditional Naturopath with global training
  • Focus on stress, resilience, and sustainable performance

FAQs

What is The Phoenix Collective?

The Phoenix Collective is a training platform — not therapy. It’s built for people who’ve been through hard things and still want to lead, perform, and live with purpose. We focus on mindset, clarity, and practical tools you can actually use.

What is the MindFire 7-Day Trial?

It’s a free, 7-day sneak peek into Week One of the PHX Foundation plus preview chapters from Deal With It and Derailed. You’ll get daily missions, journal prompts, and a bonus invite to the next Thursday night call.

Is this a faith-based program?

Dr. King is Christian (Reformed in theology, Pentecostal in experience), and he speaks from his story and convictions. You don’t have to share his beliefs to benefit from the tools. No judgment — just honest content that works in the real world.

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy and mindset training are different. We respect clinical work; what we offer is training, structure, and language to help you understand what you’re living through and build a stronger internal code.

How much time does it take?

Plan on about 10–12 minutes a day for the video and mission, plus as much time as you want to spend journaling. Consistency matters more than perfection.

How do I access the content?

After registering, you’ll get instructions plus an email from [email protected] to set your password. You’ll then log into the Phoenix Collective app on desktop and find your MindFire trial content there. Mobile apps for iOS and Google Play are coming soon.

What happens after the 7 days?

If the trial resonates, you can choose to continue with app content only ($29/month), add weekly Thursday group coaching ($267/month), or step into private 1:1 coaching ($984/month). If it’s not a fit, you simply don’t continue — no hard feelings.

Do I need any special tools?

Just the app, a notebook (or notes on your phone), and honesty. No extra devices or tech required.

What if I don’t have “big” trauma?

You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit. We work with drift, burnout, disconnection, and misalignment — the places where smart people start doing dumb stuff because they’re tired, unclear, or running on fumes.

Start the week that can reset your direction.
